Research Facilities
The museum provides facilities for research on Chenango County industries, businesses, prominent individuals, topography, modes of transportation, and historic life. Resources for genealogical research are also available.
Access can be gained to primary sources including; town and village histories, family folders, county, cemetery and surrogate records, census materials, photographs, ledgers, scrapbooks, and reference books.
The museum and historian's office staff can provide limited assistance and advice. The office is normally open weekdays from 9am to noon and 1pm to 5pm. Since space and staff are limited, it is advisable to schedule your visit by calling either (607)337-1845 or (607)334-9227.
